On July 9th 2011, South Sudan became the 54th independent country in Africa when it gained its independence from the Republic of Sudan.

As the youngest nation in Africa marked its 11th independence anniversary on Saturday, July 9th 2022, the contry's students at Kisubi Schools were treated with celebrations and a reflection on the milestone.
